NOVEMBER 2024 OUTREACH FUNDS DISTRIBUTED:
OUTREACH
St Peter’s outreach account: A group of St Peter's folks met after the service on Nov 10, 2024 to discuss the annual disbursement of some of our outreach monies to several community non-profits. This special outreach fund is supported through community and church member donations throughout the year for the specific goal of outreach.
A total of $5,000 was distributed: The Alaska Correctional Ministries, Blessings in a Backpack, Brave Heart Volunteers, Episcopal Recovery Ministries, Good News Club, Sitka Homeless Coalition, Sitka Salvation Army and Youth Advocates of Sitka. (Please note that the funds for the Manna Meal are still included in our outreach account).
Spiritual Growth and Outreach Endowment Grants dispersed for 2024-2025
This year we were able to expand our Spiritual growth and outreach efforts to the community by recently awarding a total of $23,400 to Brave Heart Volunteers, Sitka Cancer Survivors Society, Sitka Homeless Coalition, Sitka Conservation Society (an after-school program), Sitka Spruce Tips 4-H Club, Sitka Music Festival, and to St Peter’s to provide continuing ed funds for lay leaders and clergy, and purchase new large print song books for the Pioneers’ Home chapel services, and to organize a couple of special organ concerts in the church to provide an opportunity for spiritual growth through the universal language of music.
We support and we are engaged in a variety of local, state, national, and international outreach efforts.
We collect non-perishable foods and welcome monetary donations for community outreach
