Established November 2002
Purpose:
This is a gift planning program to enable funding for future ministry of the parish.
The endowment board, consisting of seven members, all in good standing, appointed by the vestry, operates the fund. In addition, the rector and senior warden shall be ex-officio members of the board.
The board, in accordance with its adopted guidelines, shall administer funds received as gifts. All assets shall be held in the name of the Endowment Fund of St. Peter's by-the-Sea, Sitka, Alaska. This gift acceptance policy will provide guidelines to representatives of St. Peter's by-the-Sea who may be involved in the acceptance of gifts, to outside advisors who may assist in the gift giving process, and to donors who may wish to make gifts to the St. Peter's by-the-Sea Endowment Fund.
Contact Endowment Fund board members for referrals on advice for making gifts, planning your own individual planned ministry, questions on planning your wills, for tips on a thoughtful and practical estate plan, and how to secure a durable power of attorney.
The fund currently holds investments in excess of $100,000.
